Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been issued an Arms licence after he applied for one for self-protection. The actor had received threat letters recently according to the Mumbai Police. It is stated that both Salman and his father Salim Khan received death threats in early June, few days after singer Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead in Punjab.
In this connection, Salman met the Mumbai Police Commissioner to get a gun licence to protect himself and his family. His visit to the police headquarters was for physical verification before the licensing authority, which is a mandatory step for obtaining a gun licence.
Reports state that Salman has upgraded his Land Cruiser to be armoured and bulletproof after he received death threats. A threat letter that the actor received stated that both Salman Khan and his father would meet the same fate as murdered singer Sidhu Moosewala.
It may be reacalled that Salman received death threats earlier in 2018 when the trial of the blackbuck poaching case was underway.
