Activist and Bhumata Brigade leader Trupti Desai was undeterred by several death threats and said that she would offer worship at the Sabarimala temple in Kerala on November 17.
She had requested the Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the Director General of Police Lokanath Behera for providing police protection to her and six other women from the organisation. She said that she had received threats from the BJP, RSS, Congress and devotees of Lord Ayyappa. She said that ever since she announced her decision to visit the temple, she had been bombarded with death threats. One such threat warned that their limbs would be hacked of they dared to enter Kerala.
