It was an evening steeped in royalty as the Rotarians Wine Fellowship of India hosted a sit-down wine dinner at Conrad Bengaluru in association with SULA Wines. The Rotarians Wine Fellowship of India RWFI with its committee 2017-18 headed by Kalyan Gopalakrishna held its last wine dinner with premium wines from SULA Vineyards in the presence and participation of SULA Co Founder Kerry Damskey and SULA Master Wine Maker Karan Vasani. The evening began with a Sparkling Wine Reception at Tiamo, the alfresco poolside restaurant with a panoramic view of the Ulsoor Lake with pass arounds after which the guests moved to Indian Durbar, famed for the time honoured cooking methods, signature ingredients and authentic recipes that create a taste of Royal India. Kerry Damskey, Co Owner of SULA and SULA Master Wine Maker Karan Vasani introduced the range of SULA wines that were paired beautifully. Kandhari Murgh was paired with SULA Riesling, Kumbh Ki Galouti and Kashmiri Lagan Ki Seekh was paired with Rasa Cabernet Sauvignon. The main course dishes included Seabass Polichattu Kerala Red Rice, Hyderabadi Dum Ka Nalli accompanied with dal-e- durbar, tadka saag, multigrain paratha, lachha paratha, naan, roti was paired with Rasa Shiraz. The hearty five-course meal ended on sweet note with Crunchy Granola bar and Mysore pak petit four that was paired with Late Harvest Chenin Blanc. The evening ended at Caraway Kitchen’s Private Dining Room with a display of Teas from Dilmah as well as freshly brewed Single Estate Darjeeling Leaf Tea and an interesting display of pralines.
