Craig Foster was once diving in the bitterly cold waters of the Southern most tip of Africa when he spotted an octopus hiding under a cloak of shells and stones. Even though he followed this shy creature for almost 4 weeks, she completely evaded him.
Finally, one fine day, the octopus reached out to Craig as it had developed trust in him that he was not a predator. It permitted him to follow her on a hunt. Craig was thrilled to bits and said that it was a very special moment for him as he was accepted by the octopus. He spent 10 years diving off the coast of South Africa where the water temperature can drop to as low as 8 degrees celcius.
