Pulicat Day is celebrated every year on February 2 as part of World Wetlands Day.
Pulicat is the second largest waterbody in India, and covers an area of 759sq.km. Known as the Cotton Route capital since last century, the lagoon attract Northeast rain clouds during the monsoon season every year.
We need to protect this pristine waterbody for the survival of Chennai city. Let us celebrate the day.
