Geetha Ravichandran has taken over as the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. She is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) Officer and belongs to the 1987 batch.
After graduating from Stella Maris College in Chennai, she underwent training at the National Academy of Direct Taxes, Nagpur. During her 34 years of distinguished service, she served in different parts of the country including Chennai, Mumbai, Nagpur and Bangalore. She held key assignments in the IT Department which included assessment, search assessment, tribunal representation, TDS investigation, central charge and international taxation.
Geetha’s hobbies include reading, writing and listening to music.
