Radha Daga founded a brand named Triguni Eze Eats, a ready- to-eat food brand. This 79 year old woman from Chennai started this business about a decade ago. Her brand is now available on IndiGo and Air India flights, on Amazon, in retail stores across the country and also in Malaysia and Singapore.
Gita’s passion for cooking helped her to come up with this idea. She also had a desire to train women in order to help them to have better living standards.
Her menu includes biryani, lemon rice, tamarind rice, dal chawal, rajma chawal. pongal sambar, moong dal khichdi and upma. The food is cooked in the usual way and then goes through a process for dehydration and preservation. It is ready to eat by just adding hot water.
The pandemic and the consequent lockdowns hit her business but now things are getting back on track and her products are in demand by students and travellers.
