Virginia Lenore MacColl, a 71 year old woman from the US, has set a Guinness World record for becoming the world’s oldest female ninja. She began her foray into ninja warrior competitions at the age of 66, after being encouraged by her daughter to take up sports.
Virginia was inspired to begin her journey after she watched her daughter Jessie Graff take part in American Ninja Warrior. While she cheered for her daughter, she felt inspired to take up the sport.
Though she never took part in athletics or weight lifting earlier, she started swimming twice or thrice in a week. Her favourite ninja moves are swinging on rings, climbing ropes and the warped wall.
Virginia strictly follows a ”Mediterranean diet” of fish, vegetables, chicken and turkey. She avoids dairy products and watches her sugar intake.
