Good news for art fans in Hyderabad! The second edition of Ramaniyam – an art festival which was started as a tribute to Shrishti Art Gallery’s founder Remani Nambiar – will be held on October 31st.
This year’s concept revolves around “INBOX” and is one of the largest exhibitions of three dimensional artworks in Hyderabad. The exhibition seeks to understand the impact of “disposable culture” of consumption on the environment and human mind.
81+ artists including some of the most established names in Indian contemporary art including Bose Krishnamachari, Laxma Goud, Riyas Komu, TV Santosh, Valay Shende will participate in this quest to understand, highlight and exhibit this consumption dichotomy through your unique works of art. This show has been conceptualized and will be curated by George Martin.
The exhibition is being showcased in Hill Fort Palace (Old Ritz hotel). The Hill Fort Palace was a perfect choice as it’s a testament to the disposable culture that the exhibition highlights. The palace is a heritage building built in 1915 by Sir Nizamat Jung.
During the course of the exhibition, they have planned a number of events at the palace which includes talks on art, exhibition walk through by the curator, pottery workshop and musical performances and many more.
